Ferry to World Cup Fanzone

The RTA is planning to lay on extra marine transport to take football fans to the BudX FIFA Fan Festival which is taking place in Dubai Harbour (near Dubai Marina).

The whole area has been set up ready to welcome fans with big screens and stadium seating.  It is one of only a few official fan zones in the world.

It is located with a fabulous view of the Marina and the RTA is laying on extra taxis to get to the event as well as additional ferry services as follows:

Marine Transport

RTA will allocate two Dubai ferries and one water taxi during the World Cup, and service timings will be synchronised with match schedules. These water transit means will ferry riders on a line linking Bluewaters Island with Dubai Harbour, with a one-way fare of AED25 for the economy class and AED35 for the gold class.

This means that you can take the ferry across from Bluewaters island to get to the fanzone. To get to Bluewaters Island you can take bus number 57 from Jebel Ali metro station which only takes 9 minutes, or you can walk from JBR2 tram stop which will take 11 minutes. There are also other buses which can take you nearby and they are very cheap. You can link to the tram at Sobha Realty metro station (formerly Dubai Marina) so you can access the tram via the metro throughout Dubai.

We will update here if we get further information abut the timings of the extra ferries.
