Marine Transport Stations – Ferry

The Dubai Ferry currently utilises 4 marine Transport Stations for the trips that it runs.  Each marine station has its own ticket office where you can buy your ticket for the trips. You can pay by cash or card.

The trips that are run are all within Dubai and this particular ferry service does not go out to other emirates (the Sharjah service stopped during the pandemic and hasn’t restarted) or to other countries.

The four stations are as follows:

Al Ghubaiba

This ferry station is in the creek area. There is a metro station very nearby (also called Al Ghubaiba) and it is only a couple of minutes walk to the ticket office and the quay where you will find the ferry.

Trips from here run either all the way to the Marina, or there are circular trips – check the timetable for details.

Dubai Water Canal

The Canal Marine Transport Station is a stop on the Marina- Ghubaiba line.

The Dubai Water Canal Marine Transport Station is a stop pretty much in the middle of the trip to and from the Marina and Al Ghubaiba stations. It is about an hour from each station.

Bluewaters

Bluewaters Marie Transport Station is the newest station used by the Dubai Ferry. It gives access to Bluewaters island and is a stop on the trip between the Marina and Al Ghubaiba. It only takes about 10 minutes to get from the Marina station to here.

Dubai Marina

This is one of the original marine transport stations and from here you can take either a round trip to Atlantis and back or take the full route over to Al Ghubaiba via Bluewaters Island and Dubai Water Canal.

The ticket office is right next to the mooring where the ferries depart. This is about a 2 minute walk to the left as you exit Dubai Marina Mall.

Dubai Marina Marine Transport Station

Souk al Marfa

This new station was opened on 1st March 2023 and is located on Deira Islands. Ferry services run here from Al Ghubaiba on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 6pm to 10pm.
